The Sydney Women's Tefilah Group was founded in 1993 and has been active since that time.

Our aim is to increase opportunities for women to learn about and participate in Orthodox prayer and ritual

We hold regular tefillot including Shabbat Mevarchim Mincha (about 6 times per year); Rosh Chodesh Shacharit (when Rosh Chodesh falls on a Sunday), Megillat Esther reading, Simchat Torah service and other special events such as Tu Bishvat Seder, Mincha at the annual Women's Shabbat at the Great Synagogue, Shacharit service at the Limmud Oz conference, Bat Mitzvah services, etc.

We also hold regular shiurim and other learning events as well as acting as a resource for women seeking ideas for Bat Mitzvah or Simchat Bat celebrations for their daughters.
