Bechukotai = "My Commandments"
Vayikra = Leviticus Chapters 26:3-27:4
Leviticus is the 3rd book of the 5 books of the Torah.
This Torah portion summarises the blessings that will follow the Israelites' adherence to God's commandments, the curses for those who violate them, and the laws of vows, tithes, and the ritual promises made to God.

ABOUT THE TORAH READINGS:The Torah - the Five Books of Moses - is read publicly in synagogues every Sabbath on an annual cycle.
The cycle begins each year with Bereishit (Genesis), which is read on the Sabbath following the Simchat Torah festival.
