Annual Family Gathering - To Remember
To Remember those who passed
Every year on a Friday in the summer, we gather at Har Hamenuchot cemetery in Jerusalem to remember our parents, Rabbi Isaac and Rita Newman, and brother Julian, all of whom passed away at this time of year (between 2008 and 2015) and are buried next to each other in Jerusalem. This is followed by a family brunch / picnic in a local Jerusalem Park.
Almost everyone was there this year - two children (the third resides in the USA), 10 grandchildren with 9 spouses, and almost thirty great grandchildren (an as yet uncompleted process) ranging in ages from post army to just born.
We are sure that our parents are looking down in pride at this gathering of the future generations and praying, along with us, that the war will end, the hostages will return home and that this region, with its amazing potential, will get back to some form of normality.
